10F-ADB
10F ADB, a synthetic cannabinoid that emerged on the designer drugs market in 2014, is a cannabinoid. It is unknown where it originated, but underground chemists are believed to have synthesized the substance in order to create new psychoactive substances to bypass current drug laws.
Also known as 10-Fluoro-ADB or 10-fluoro-MDMB-PINACA, it is recognized as a potent member of the synthetic cannabinoid class of drugs. The Chemical Abstracts Service number for this drug is 1971007-92-7.
Chemical Information
The formal chemical name for 10F-ADB is methyl (R)-2-(1-(5-fluoropentyl)-1H-indazole-3-carboxamido)-3,3-dimethylbutanoate. It has a complex structure, which includes nitrogen, fluorine and cyclic structures. This is similar to that of other synthetic cannabinoids. Its molecular form is C20H28FN3O3.
The 10F-ADB molecule is a white or off-white powder. Like other organic compounds, the shape cannot be seen with the naked eye.
Uses and effects
10F-ADB has a wide range of uses, including recreational and research. It is believed that as a synthetic cannabinoid it mimics the effects of THC, the main psychoactive ingredient of cannabis. This is because the CB1 receptors and CB2 in the brain are the same.
Users report intense feelings of euphoria and relaxation, as well as altered perceptions, and even hallucinations. Due to its potency, lack of research and other factors, the drug has been linked with adverse effects like anxiety, paranoia and nausea. It can also have dangerous cardiovascular effects.
Dosage
Due to the potency of 10F-ADB and the variations in purity and composition, it can be difficult to determine how much 10F ADB you should take. Even very small doses (typically between 0.5 and 1.0 milligrams in range) can have significant effects.
Extreme caution should be used when handling 10F ADB due to its potential dangers and lack of knowledge.
Keep in mind that this substance is a Schedule I drug according to the United Nations Convention on Psychotropic Substances. This means its production, distribution and use may be illegal or restricted in many jurisdictions.
